The Colorectal Surgery Unit of the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital, based in Seville, has successfully applied a stem cells shot as treatment against the frequent and painful anal fissures suffered by Crohn’s disease patients. 49 international health centres participate in this clinical trial, under the leadership of this Sevilian hospital.
