‘Call me Paula’ is the first child’s novel in Spain that has a transsexual girl as its protagonist. It’s also the author Concepción Rodríguez’s first work, who, touched by the news regarding cases of discrimination in educational centres towards ‘trans’ boys and girls, decided to write the novel to promote respect towards human diversity.
