Chemist Ana Hungría has just received the Loreal-UNESCO Grant, an honor that intends to give visibility to the best scientific works developed by women around the world. This researcher, who works at the University of Cádiz, has received this grant in recognition to her work regarding catalysts that facilitate the use of hydrogen as fuel.
An intelligent fleet’s management informatics system allows a transportation enterprise from Almería saving 12.000 litres of fuel per month. This software, also developed in Almería, monitors the activity of more than two hundred trucks to advise them about which road they must take to save fuel.
An entrepreneur from Almería has patented a device that saves up to a 40% in fuel consumption. It is a hydrogen generator named HybridHrogen that has been the result of five years of work. It doesn’t just allow saving fuel but also reduces in a 70% the emission on contaminant gasses.
