3D technology to study the effects of the weight students carry in their school bags
Researchers from the Institute for Sport and Health (IMUDS) in Granada study how the weight that students carry in their school bags affects their locomotion and back using 3D animation technology. The first results they have obtained indicate that there is a load excess in school bags and that wheeled bags are less harming students.
Andalusian greenhouses exported to arid areas where vegetables are hard to cultivate
A group of researchers from the IFAPA, The Andalusian Institute of Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training, is developing two greenhouse prototypes to export them to arid and semi-arid areas, mainly located in the Persian Gulf. Tomatoes, cucumbers or peppers are very hard to cultivate in these areas so they depend on importation.
