Photojournalists Laura León and José Antonio Lamadrid will participate in the Murillo Year with a photography exhibition that aims to highlight the social character of the works of this Baroque artist. The photographers have selected twelve paintings and adapted them to the 21st century, keeping their illumination style and composition. The pictures of Laura and José Antonio aims to bring visibility to the social reality behind evictions, immigration, maternity or homophobia through their interpretation of these works, which were painted four centuries ago.

Researchers at the University of Granada have discovered compounds present in rosemary that are absorbed by the small intestine and help fight colorectal cancer. It´s a study held in collaboration with Centre for Research and development of functional foods (CIDAF) and Miguel Hernandez University of Alicante.
Universo Santi, the world’s first 100% inclusive restaurant
Universo Santi is the first restaurant in the world where the staff is completely composed of people with functional diversity. 45 people affected by any type of disability are in charge of serving the tables and cooking. The Accessible Universe Foundation is the promoter of this experience, whose goal is to achieve the complete social and labor integration of people with functional diversity.
A sensory proposal introduces art into the babies’ world
The CajaGranada Museum brings art to babies between 3 and 36 months old through the ‘Al museo con bebé’ (or ‘Going to the museum with your baby’) program. This initiative aims to promote creativity and encourage families to participate in cultural activities.
