Loading...This is a study conducted by researchers from the Pharmacy School at the University of Seville. It is aimed to lessen neuropathic pain, a type of chronic pain that affects seven million people, only in Spain, and is produced by damaged nerves. This specific cannabis derivative is the CB13, a synthetic molecule that the scientists insert in polymeric nanoparticles for oral administration. Trials with mice show effectiveness for nine days instead of eight hours by medicines used so far. The work has been developed by the University of Seville, the University of Cádiz and the CIBER of Mental Health.
