José María Terrés, using wind to put international architecture to the test

After more than 10 years of research and offering consulting services at the University, José María Terrés, together with his business partner, saw that the best way to provide this service was through a business. Oritia & Boreas was set up in 2010, a spin-off from the University of Granada which studies the effects of wind on unique buildings throughout the world. He has worked on the Pelli Tower in Seville, the bridge of the Bay of Cádiz, the World Trade Centre in London and the Bicentenary Tower in Mexico. At the moment they collaborate in Granada on the building of what will be the largest wind tunnel in Spain, one of the most important in Europe.
