Ana Crespo, underwater research with the open sea scientific drilling record

Although Ana Crespo was born in Switzerland, she carried out her doctoral thesis in Seville and since the beginning of the 90s she works at the University of Granada, where she is professor of Geodynamics. She loves working as a geologist not just in mountain ranges but also underwater. She is one of the two female researchers who were part of the scientific expedition in the Sea of Japan which set a new world scientific deep sea drilling record. Their goal was studying the earthquakes which caused high damage in that area.
