Ana Caballero, a young green chemist awarded by the Spanish Royal Society

Born in Seville, Ana Caballero works at the Sustainable Chemistry Research Centre at the University of Huelva, dedicated to “green chemistry”, as she calls it. This young researcher studies how to turn methane into methanol, a substance more useful for industry; but always taking care of the environment. Thanks to this work, she has just won the Young Researchers Prize given by the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry.
