A new public lighting system multiplies illumination reducing energy consumption by 30%

El Saucejo, a town in the province of Seville, has installed a public street lighting system based in induction lamps, which have low energy consumption but also less power. However, a neighbour from this town has found the solution creating a parabolic reflector that multiplies illumination when it is placed over the lamp. This innovative device has permitted reducing light pollution by 80% and saving 120.000 in the electric bill.
