Manuel Pérez-Ruiz, precision farming to design the field of the future

Manuel Pérez-Ruiz decided to become an agricultural engineer due to his fondness his uncles’ farm. This researcher born in Seville focuses on the future of farming. He has developed planting machines equipped with GPS technology, sensors that detect weeds to erase them or systems that permit giving the plant the exact amount of water it needs. For him, the farm of the future will have vehicles without drivers and just one farmer who will control everything from a computer.
