Nono Granero (Úbeda, Jaén) is an illustrator, writer, puppeteer and oral narrator. He likes to say that his work revolves around tales. After obtaining a degree in Fine Arts, he started an illustration career that has brought him to Denmark, where he has illustrated the books of Oskar K. His own works are sold in France, Chile and Rumania, and have also been translated into Catalan. In addition, he is founder of El Asombrajo puppet company and promoter of the ‘En Úbeda se Cuenta’ Festival, which gathers international narrators in the city of Úbeda.

María Dolores Gaitán, the pianist who bonds her roots to Europe

María Dolores Gaitán is a young pianist from Cordoba who, through music, has bonded her land to Europe. She works as a teacher in Milano (Italy), where she lives since a decade ago, and has given concerts in many countries. She is creator and director of the Guadalquivir International Piano Festival of Cordoba, which every fall brings the best European pianists to Cordoba.

Loli Sabariego, the art of having international stages at her feet

She was determined when she was little and she told her mother that she wanted to dance. Loli Sabariego began her training in Cordoba, the city where she was born, and she moved to Madrid at the age of 16. She has worked as a professional dancer in Canada, Japan and Argentina. She has collaborated with the New Spanish Ballet and several companies such as Aída Gomez’s, María Pagés’ and Antonio Gades’. In her last show, she was lead dancer in the ‘¡Oh Cuba!’ show, performed in the Generalife Gardens of the Alhambra of Granada.

Ángeles Mora, poetry about everyday life to reveal the hidden spirit of words

Ángeles Mora was born in Cordoba and lives in Granada. She is the winner of the 2016 National Poetry Award in Spain for her work ‘Fictions for an Autobiography’, for which she also won the National Critics’ Award for Literature in 2015. In her poems she likes to write about everyday things, and her favourite authors include Claribel Alegría, Rosalía de Castro and Emily Dickinson.
