Miguel Rodríguez, Oneiric Realism in the work of an anarchic painter

Sevilian Miguel Rodríguez is a self-taught painter mostly known for his drawings. He paints when he feels like doing it, and the main reason why he does it is because he has fun with it. He began to paint at the age of 16. Three decades later, he can tell that his work has been exhibited all over Europe and the United States. He claims that he tries to capture human spirituality in his works, “what’s intangible”,  because, according to this painter, that is what explains the real human nature. He also assures that his style isn’t hyperrealistic, despite some times people believes it. His work is influenced by Surrealism and defines his style as Oneiric Realism.
