Dionisio Godoy, a vision of the world drawn with watercolours

Almerian Dionisio Godoy was born in a family of painters in the year 1932. He didn’t had to learn how to draw or paint, it was something innate in him as he is the grandson of painter Emiliano Godoy, son of painter Rafael Godoy and nephew of Jesús de Perceval, one of the promoters of the Indaliano Movement. He is one of the most important watercolour painters in Spain. The knowledge he acquired as a draftsman makes him shine at architectural drawing. Both the public and the critics also appreciate the delicacy of his shapes. He exhibited his work for the first time at the age of 22. In that time, he was one of the students of writer Celia Viñas, who took take of his presentation; which was the last one she wrote before she passed away. Apart from painting, Dionisio has dedicated 40 years of his life to gather information about Almerian painters of the 19^th century. The result of this work are two books.
