Melitón Briñas, adaptive clay pigeon shooting with Olympic ambitions

He was born without part of his left arm, but that didn’t prevent him from trying clay pigeon shooting with his dad. And just like that Melitón Briñas, from Baza a province in Granada, was hooked. In the Paralympic shooting category, he won a silver medal at the World Championships in Germany in 2014. Previously he’d won a bronze medal, in 2013, at a Grand Prix which took place in Italy. He also competes with fully able competitors, in the second division. One of his aims is to move up to the first category and take part at the Olympic Games.
