Researchers from the University of Granada have designed the first method able to measure the allergenicity levels of urban green spaces. For that, they have used parameters such as the type of species or the distribution of the plants. This way, they can evaluate the risk level for people with allergies who visit them.
The Spanish Aerobiology Network is coordinated from a lab of the University of Córdoba. Here they receive data from more than fifty collectors, machines that measure the level of pollen in the air.
