Laroles, a town in Granada’s Alpujarra, is building ‘Un teatro entre todos’ (‘A theatre between all’). Its neighbours have recovered an old threshing floor turning it into an open-air amphitheatre.
Elena Medel, the poet who debuted in a bikini
Elena Medel is a young writer who received her first award aged just 16, the Andalusian Youth Poetry Prize with her book ‘Mi Primer Bikini’ (My First Bikini). Her last book ‘Chatterton’ was also awarded with the Young Creation Loewe Prize, one of the most prestigious in Spain. Elena’s poems have been translated to German, Arab, English, Italian, Polish and Portuguese.
