Plastic and 3D impressions as an alternative to casts to treat fractures

It’s a creation from engineers at the Universities of Seville and Huelva. Using a low cost plastic material called PLA, they have built with 3D impressions the prototype of a system which can treat bone fractures in the limbs. It’s an alternative to the traditional casts. Facing this, Skin 3D is waterproof, which is useful in bathrooms, is light and can be personalised.
