A blood test to diagnose Alzheimer’s. This is the discovery of the company Neuron Bio from Granada, in collaboration with hospitals in Granada and Madrid. This blood test could be a substitute for other more invasive and uncomfortable tests, such as lumbar punctures.
A group of young musicians and psychologists is developing in Granada the ‘Music to Wake Up Project”, which tries to control the agitation of people affected by Alzheimer’s with the music these patients have listened during their lives. They have managed to improve these patients’ condition just using headphones and an mp3.
‘Indices Dependencia’ is a new app designed in Granada by the company ‘Grupo Trevenque’ that contains all the existing tests used by doctors and caregivers to evaluate the memory loss or the dependence levels of a person. Its goal is detecting the early symptoms of diseases such as Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
