Antonio Caño, a captain of journalism moved by curiosity

Antonio Caño, born in Martos, Jaén, has a wide professional experience that started in the EFE agency in 1980 and that currently continues in the newspaper El País, of which he is the director. Curiosity was his motivation to dedicate to journalism, and his passion for travels was the reason why he worked as a correspondent in the United States, Mexico or Guinea, and has reported on conflicts in El Salvador, the Gulf War and the Falkland Islands. Among other awards, Antonio Caño has received the ‘Natural de Jaén’ from the University of Jaén, which is awarded to people from the province of Jaén who have stood out in different sectors.
