Loading...Born in Alicante but resident in Almería, Patricia Quintanilla entered the world of sports at the age of seven. She wanted to be a member of a basketball team but an injury forced her to quit, and she began to practice swimming at nineteen. This sport has given her the chance to become Champion of Spain in the masters +30 and +35 categories; and to break the Spanish record in 100 meters freestyle and both in 50 and 100 meters backstroke. She was also Champion of Andalusia in the Absolute category. Currently she doesn’t compete anymore, but sport is still a part of her life as she continues to practice mountain climbing and kitesurfing. In addition, she organizes solidarity activities to raise money for Almerian children with cancer.
