Mónica Ortiz, fueled by competitiveness in duathlon

This Andalusian is Duathlon World Champion 2016 in the sprint modality of the 35-39 age category. However, the successful trajectory of this Physical Education teacher began in 2011. It was then when Mónica Ortiz began to completely dedicate to this discipline. After seven kilometers and a half of running and twenty on a bike, she made the stopwatch stop at 1:09:44 in the trial held in Avilés (Asturias), and reached victory.  Competitiveness runs through her veins and she assures that sport is her way of life. Mónica, who is a member of the CD Training Tri-Wug Club, doesn’t consider herself to be a successful woman, but someone who sets herself goals and that works very hard to accomplish them.
