Researchers improve the survival rate of embryos in assisted reproduction

A new technique avoids that embryos have direct contact with the liquid nitrogen that freezes it for their preservation. This way, the risk of contamination is avoided. In addition, it makes permits freezing and defrosting them much faster, increasing the survival rate of embryos, sperm and eggs after cryopreservation up to almost a 100%.
